Alejandro Tabilo vs Gael Monfils Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Mallorca Open

Fourth seed Alejandro Tabilo takes on sixth seeded Gael Monfils in the Mallorca Open semi-finals. The winner will take on either qualifier Paul Jubb or unseeded Sebastian Ofner in Saturday's final. Tabilo was a career-high 24th in Monday’s new ranking list.

His run to the last four of this grass court championship has taken him up to 22nd. He’s going well in the ATP Live Race too, being 14th. He’s won one title this year, that was in a hard court tournament. On grass, he’s played at Wimbledon three times with a best of reaching round two in 2022. Last year saw him lose in the first qualifying round when ranked only 145th.

This year has seen him steadily climb up the rankings. This is his second grass court tournament of the year. Last week saw him lose in round two at Queen’s Club, being beaten by the eventual champion Tommy Paul. This week, he’s beaten Alexander Shevchenko and Jakub Mensik, both in straight sets.

Sixth seed Gael Monfils had a much tougher quarter-final. He won the first set against unseeded Roberto Bautista Agut but the Spaniard then drew level. Monfils recovered to win the final set 6-4. Before that win he had straight sets victories over Dominic Thiem and Roberto Carballes Baena.

This is his first grass court tournament since 2021 where his best performance has been a fourth round appearance in 2018. He’s up to 33rd in the live rankings but will be unseeded at Wimbledon next week.

It's taken him just over five hours to get through to this semi-final. Tabilo looks to be in the better form and we tip him to win this match.
