Albert Ramos Vinolas vs John Millman Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Winston-Salem Open

Eighth seeded Albert Ramos-Vinolas faces unseeded John Millman in the second round of the Winston Salem Open. This is the final warm-up event before the start of the US Open with Grigor Dimitrov the top seed. Vinolas is the world number 42 and in the bottom half of the draw where the highest seed is Botic van de Zandschlup. For Vinolas the majority of his success this year has been on clay. He won a tournament in Cordoba earlier in the year and has reached four semi-finals since then, all on clay. He has had some success on hard courts though and recently made it to the last 16 of the Montreal Masters. That included wins over David Goffin and Diego Schwartzman, another player more at home on clay.

Whereas Vinolas received a bye into the second round, John Millman had to take on and beat Hugo Gaston, which he did for the loss of five games. The Australian began the week ranked 104th but that first round win has seen him rise two places in the live rankings. A win over Vinolas will take him back into the top 100 but still a long way short of the career high 33rd he achieved in 2018. Before that win over Gaston, Millman had only won one of his last five matches and last week lost in the first qualifying round of the Cincinnati Masters. His best result this year has been reaching the semi-final of the Delray Beach Open in February. Since then he's got to just one quarter final and that was in a Challenger Tour event. There's only been one previous meeting between the pair. That was in this tournament six years ago with Millman winning in three sets. Back Vinolas to get his revenge.
