Top seed Albert Ramos-Vinolas takes on wildcard Duje Ajdukovic in the second round of the Croatia Open. The winner of this match will face either Carlos Taberner or Stefano Travaglia (both unseeded) in the last eight. Vinolas is having his first match of this tournament and is ranked 43rd in the world. Four years ago he was in the top 20 and a couple of months ago up to 37th. The 33-year-old has been going through a rough patch with no wins in his last six tournaments. May saw him win the clay court tournament held in Estoril beating Cameron Norrie in the final. Just one match has been won since then, so he'll be hoping to get back on track this week back on clay.

Duje Ajdukovic is world ranked 275th but being a Croatian, he received a wild card into this event. He's been making the most of his opportunity with a first round win over Andrea Collarini who is ranked 65 places above him. Ajdukovic has spent his year playing on the Challenger Tour. Highlights have included three last eight appearances but it's not been that great a year until his win over Collarini. This is far tougher than anything he's faced this year and the highest ranked player he's beaten was ranked 150th. Go for Vinolas to win this, a side bet on a straight sets win may well be successful, just hard to totally trust him after his recent form.
