11th seed Tommy Paul begins his indoor hard court Paris Masters campaign against wild card Adrian Mannarino. It's an important tournament for Paul who still has a chance of reaching the end-of-season Tour Finals. Here's our match prediction.

Tommy Paul is 11th in the ATP Live Race and needs a deep run here to boost his qualification hopes. His chances were dented last week when losing to Brandon Nakashima in round one of the Erste Bank Open.

That was disappointing as the previous week had seen him win the indoor hard court tournament played in Stockholm. The American is currently a career-high 12th in the live rankings and leads Mannarino 1-0 in previous meetings but that win came on grass.

Adrian Mannarino was ranked 17th earlier this year but has slumped to 58th in the live list. The French player had a terrible run of form during the summer with defeat after defeat. He finally got back into winning ways at the US Open after ten straight losses.

Some improvement has been made with a quarter-final reached in Chengdu, though he didn't beat anyone ranked in the top 150. He's slipped again though with just one win in his last five matches. We tip Paul to win in straight sets.
