The Nigerian Beach Soccer League is back, with six teams set to battle it out on the sands to be crowned 2025 NBSL Champions. The competition will get underway on March 31 and will feature three rounds. Here’s the full confirmed schedule for the rest of this season.

Nigeria Beach Soccer League 2025 Schedule

This year marks the fifth edition of the Nigeria Beach Soccer League, and the six participating teams from across the country have arrived in Kebbi State to complete final preparations before the competition officially begins. 

All the teams that will feature in this season’s competition were confirmed on March 20. The 2025 NBSL campaign is now set to kick off with Round 1 on the last day of this month (March 31) in Kebbi State and will run until April 3. 

Thereafter, we head to Kaduna State for the second round of the competition, which will play out in June 2025, before Round 3 takes us to Anambra State in August, where the top-performing teams for the season will be decided. 

After Round 3, the best teams across all three rounds will qualify for the Super Finals, which will be staged in Akwa Ibom State, where the 2025 Nigeria Beach Soccer League champions will be crowned in December this year.

NBSL 2025 Confirmed Entries & Teams To Watch

The 2025 Nigerian Beach Soccer League will feature a total of six teams, all vying for glory. This includes: 

  • Kebbi Fishers BSC
  • Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors
  • Kebbi United BSC
  • Kada BSC 
  • Nmanko Patigi BSC
  • Jigawa Golden Star BSC

Kebbi Fishers BSC are widely considered the pre-tournament favourites to win the title again this season, having done so in three of the four editions, including 2021, 2023 and 2024. The only other team to reach the summit of the NBSL was Kada BSC in 2022. 

The Fishers will also be bolstered by the return of Monday Joseph, who helped them win the inaugural tournament in 2021 and secure silver in 2022, before moving to the team’s cross-town rivals Kebbi United BSC ahead of the 2023 season. 

However, there is plenty of talk about Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors being the team to keep an eye on this year. They enjoyed an excellent debut season in 2024, finishing as runners-up to Kebbi Fishers BSC, and have recruited a few new players in an attempt to go one better in this campaign.
