Baller League UK: Favourites to Win Title At Halfway Stage

Deportrio Shorten To Second-Favourite After Going Top
Night six of Baller League delivered several compelling storylines, but perhaps the most notable was seeing Angry Ginge’s Yanited dislodged from the top of the table after suffering their first loss of the season against Luis Figo’s Trebol FC.
The defeat proved to be a costly one for the team donning the famous colours of Newton Heath, as it saw them drop to third place in the league standings, one point behind VZN FC and Deportrio.
Micah Richards, who manages Deportrio alongside England greats Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker, racked up their fifth win of the competition after putting in a very impressive performance to beat Ian Wright’s Wembley Rangers AFC in the final match of the night.
The victory for Deportrio also saw them shorten to second place in the latest online betting sites' odds to win the title, now showing up at 3.25, only marginally behind Yanited, who are still favourites to win the inaugural competition despite losing their unbeaten record.
One team that has crept up on the ‘big two’ in the competition is Toby Brown’s VZN FC, who, despite drawing the Sidemen derby against Simon Minter’s M7 FC and losing to Deportrio on opening night, has managed to win three penalty shootouts in six weeks.
Each penalty shootout victory earns one additional point for the winning team, meaning VZN FC have been awarded three points - the equivalent of another win - which puts them on 16 points, only behind the league leaders on goal difference.
After beating the mighty Yanited, Figo’s Trebol FC have moved up to fifth-favourite according to Bet365, right behind Santan FC, who were involved in the biggest shock result of the night, losing to bottom-of-the-log N5 FC, led by the Arsenal Invicibles, Jens Lehmann, Freddie Ljungberg, and Robert Pires.
The final result worth mentioning was John Terry’s 26ers pulling off an against-the-odds victory over Alisha Lehmann and Maya Jama’s MVPS United. The former Chelsea captain’s side is now on seven points after six games.
Crazy Scenes On Night Six In Baller League UK

While many football purists may feel that Baller League UK is not “proper football”, one thing you cannot deny the KSI and IShowSpeed-led competition is that there is never a dull moment on league night.
Last week, Micah Richards lost a wager to Angry Ginge that will force him to wear a pair of Lightning McQueen crocs live on Sky Sports. The pundit was far from pleased with the outcome, but got his chance to get back at the YouTuber on Monday night.
Following Yanited’s defeat, Richards stormed the field to celebrate the team’s loss, and was seen imitating a dance popularised by Yanited player PK Humble, which has since gone viral across social media.
However, the biggest talking point of the night was seeing another former English Premier League veteran get in an on-field scrap. Last week, Troy Deeney was sent off after an altercation with an FC Rules the World player.
This time around, it was former Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott, who almost went tumbling into the crowd after a late challenge on Wembley Rangers’ Domingos Pires caused a heated clash between the two sets of players and forced them to be separated.
Lescott made 288 Premier League appearances during his time with the Citizens, Everton, West Bromwich Albion, Aston Villa and Sunderland, while he also won four major trophies, including the FA Cup, Carabao Cup and two Premier League titles.
