Lorenzo Sonego received a bye into round two of this Masters tournament. The Italian is struggling for form with three of his last four matches ending in defeat, two on hard courts. Six of his last eight hard court matches have been lost.
His current form is a far cry from that shown at the start of the year. Sonego reached the last eight of the Australian Open and indoors in Marseille. He's 36th in the live rankings and struggling to be seeded for the US Open.
